Résumé: Radio talk jock Studs Kirby is the voice of impotent white man anger in Seattle. Fired for being "politically incorrect" (this was apparently written before the rise of Rant Radio), Studs has nothing to do but get drunk and spew bile on his friends/enablers until his "big" comeback. This is relatively minor work by Peter Bagge, but few writers are better at uncovering and understanding the common human weaknesses behind reprehensible fronts. Whatever their political affiliation, readers will find Studs less of a cartoon character than Rush Limbaugh and less of a smirking douchebag than Keith Olbermann.
