Résumé: Green Lantern has assembled the JLA in New York City in order to fight Alex Nero. But especially Superman and Wonder Woman think that Kyle's issuing of a death sentence might be premature. But Kyle explains that Nero is mentally unstable and possesses a power ring which even enables him to split atoms. And so the JLA and Warrior team up in groups of two heroes each and start to fight the golden demonic creatures which appear all around the city. But they are not able to confront Alex Nero directly.
